We view our collective task as being one in which we continually seek to improve the environmental impact of our everyday activities.
It is the policy of R C Davies Skip Hire to:
- Minimise the consumption of natural resources and energy, whilst consuming material goods in moderation
- Reduce the creation of waste by the adoption of improved operating practices and by the recycling of materials whenever practical
- Ensure all waste is disposed of in a safe and responsible manner
- Invest in the development of new products and processes that have an improved performance regarding their impact on the environment
- Continue improvement in its environmental performance
- Prevent pollution
- Comply with all environmental legislation, regulations and codes of practice relevant to the industry sector in which it operates
- Make efficient use of natural resources by conserving energy and water, minimising waste, and recycling where possible
- Meet its duty of care requirements in relation to waste by ensuring the safe keeping, transportation and subsequent recovery or disposal of waste
- Use recycled materials whenever these can be commercially justified
- Keep transport use to a minimum and regularly service vehicles to maintain their efficiency
- Work with suppliers to ensure they recognise and reduce the environmental impact of their products and transportation
R C Davies Skip Hire will review this policy on annual basis, taking account of any changes within legislation and our organisation, and other factors. We will communicate this policy to all our employees and ensure that they are given appropriate training to raise awareness of environmental issues.
